It's Official, Official, we're moving!

To say that the last 6 weeks have been a whirlwind, is an understatement.  Kevin was recruited by another Dental Practice Management company out of Denver, Colorado to become their new Director of Professional Recruiting.   The company is called Perfect Teeth and you can find more information about them on their website here.

We have been praying about a new job for a long time and after a lot of interviews this seemed to be the job and opportunity that we have been praying for; expect the fact that we are going to have to move to Colorado.  We are trusting God that this is the plan he wants for our family right now, but we are VERY sad to be leaving our home in San Clemente and of course our family and friends.

We were thrown a curve ball by a local company this last week that found out Kevin was leaving his company.  They were very interested in him, but in the end decided it was too fast of a decision they were going to have to make and they just didn't have enough time.  We had a tight timeline to give them, as we needed to sign the lease for the family who will be renting our home, finalize the movers, pack up our house, and many many other things.

Our kids are our world right now and we just want to give them the best life possible.  This makes it extra hard to leave family and friends but we greatly feel God's peace with this decision.  Right now we hope and pray Kevin does an exceptional job at this new company and that we love living in our new home state.  We also pray that we can find a home church fast and meet friends quickly.

I plan on coming back to visit 3-4 times per year.  Our first visit is going to be when Kiersten turns 1 in February.  I look forward to that visit with the kids and I am sure I will be wanting to get out of the Colorado cold.

Nathan is almost 2 1/2.  He is the sweetest boy albeit VERY shy, but he warms our hearts and makes our family so much fun.  He LOVES his sister SO much, sometimes too much and can't keep his hands off of her.  Now that she is more mobile he climbs all over her, pushes her down and thinks she is a lot more capable then she really is.  He is the sweetest big brother.  He loves seeing his sister each morning and misses her when she naps.  He constantly brings her toys and gives her snuggles and kisses.  I can't wait to see their relationship grow over the years.  One of my biggest worries is about him adjusting as we move.  He is really coming into his own lately.  He loves where we live.  He would be a happy camper just walking the beach trail every day where he can see trains and throw rocks.  He knows where every place we go is and could tell you how to get to Coscto, Lowes, Ralphs, MOPS, Trader Joes, the mall and church.  He can also tell you which way is the way to Disneyland which he will miss SO MUCH!  He LOVES Disneyland and so do I.  It just warms my heart watching the joy on his face each time we go.  I'm trying to tell him that Disneyland is going to be far away when we live in CO and he gets very sad; breaks my heart.  I know he will love his new home but I am just praying for the smoothest transition possible for my boy.  Here are some recent pictures.

Kiersten is almost 9 months and is the sweetest thing.  She is a very happy baby who just wants the freedom to crawl anywhere and everywhere.  I am looking forward to having a house of carpet instead of tile with my adventurous baby girl.  She has started to get very upset when you take something away from her and now remembers that it is gone.  She laughs easily and loves her brother SO much.  Nobody can make Kiersten laugh like Nathan and that is the BEST sound to me.  She loves her bath but can't sit down to save her life so it doesn't last very long.  She had her first shower with daddy a few weeks about and LOVED it.  She is the wiggliest little baby every born.  It is impossible to change her diaper or dress her without her rolling over.  IT IS BY FAR THE MOST FRUSTRATING THING ABOUT HER.  She sleeps well and makes our family complete. (for now)

I am so blessed to have a husband who works hard, who loves me and have 2 healthy children and I thank God for them every day.  I hope that I can give them a sense of adventure and fun as we move to our new home.  I'm so grateful for my family and I love making memories together every day.

Until next time, see you in Colorado.
